Pastor Conaway used the example of lighthouses to help explain that just like the lighthouses serve the purpose of helping mariners navigate their ships through harbors and prevent them from running into the shoreline or reefs, we help people navigate in this dark and foggy world. Apostle Paul exhorted the Church at Philippi to:

 ^"14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, ¹⁵ that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, ¹⁶ holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain."

Pastor Conaway also explained that the enemy is behind the darkness and the evil in this generation, as well as every generation, and he and his demonic hosts use schemes and methods to keep us from shining as lights in the world. We must be aware of these methods and take the proper steps to counter them so we can shine.
