In this sermon, 'Fulfilling the Great Commission Today', Pastor Conaway shares how we have the same directive in the 21st century that the believers had in the 1st century. In Acts 1:4-8, Jesus "commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which He said, "you have heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now...you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you ; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." When we go into the community to address needs and share the gospel of Jesus Christ, we bring pleasure to the Father because we are doing what He wants us to do. We must let our lights shine before, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (See Matt 5:14-16).
